Hi, my name is Rosana Lazcano, an artist, mother, wife and friend. Currently I work as a freelance artist and co-founder of the From Here To Her artist collective in Milwaukee. I grew up on the south side with a large but close-knit family. Luckily they were a very artistically talented family who influence me a lot. Around the age of 14 I knew I would be an artist, it was my calling, what I was meant to do.
I started off finding my talents in fine art, then fell in love with the world of digital art when I learned Adobe Photoshop (v.4) early on. This inspired me to become a graphic designer. After college I landed my dream job as a graphic designer at McDill Design where I worked for 9 years. While there, my interest in photography started.
These 3 areas of art have fulfilled my creative world, however I do many others, including martial arts, costume design, playing violin and guitar. Whenever possible I travel to Mexico, where I love learning about my family and culture.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my work.
